haha yeah, my aunt paid a stupid amount of money for a lovely rocking horse for my cousin, just because she loved this plastic one at a friends house.

of course, she hated the brand new expensive one... still played on the plastic one though!

DS plays with things with great enthusiasm at other people's houses...and a couple of times I've bought him the same thing so he has one at home. He's ignored it totally at home, and still played with gusto at other people's houses!

starlover, we have a beadie thing, think it was under 20quid from ELC. dd3 loves it, the older 2 love playing with it with her.

ours isnt that colourful(but then it is 5yrs old). think IKEA do a beadie thingy as well.

Yes, we have one from Ikea (really ought to have remembered that - lol!) - it was £6 and has round and square beads on it. DS loves it!
