Doll buggy/pram - the best?

DD (5) will be asking Father Christmas for a buggy/pram for her Baby Annabell. Don't want Father Christmas wasting his money so which one is the best - i.e. big enough to last a year or 2 and value for money???

Have you seen the graco ones in argos, they look beter than the reel ones and they look well made.

Jbck · 01/10/2005 17:09

We bought DD the Baby Annabell pram, that converts to a carry-cot & buggy. Fortunately I got it half price in the sales cos I wouldn't have paid £70 for it.
I think a lot of the modern smaller versions of the real ones are cute but I liked the idea of her having the actual Annabell one for Annabell. Good point about it is the handle adjusts, so that if you end up pushing it it's really not too low for an adult, mind you I'm only five foot 3

i would look for one that isn't too plasticky. when i was 3 i had a lovely pram with a metal frame and i still have it in the attic.. i used it regularly until i was about 10!!!

starlover · 01/10/2005 17:17

oh, it was a little bit tall for me to start with... but definitely worth it

Nbg · 01/10/2005 17:22

Theres quite a few in Argos.

The silvercross ones are nice but they might be a bit pricey.

starlover · 01/10/2005 17:27

how fab is this?

pricey though!

Nbg · 01/10/2005 17:29

Awww that is lovely. £90!

starlover · 01/10/2005 17:30

it isn't really that big either... but so cute! if only i had a little girl! lol

Nbg · 01/10/2005 17:32

I'd probably get it for dd if she was older and asked for it.

Hijack!

How is LO btw? Lets have another piccie!

We have 2 argos buggies for dd and ds - both cost £5 and they are fabulous - and still going strong after several years of being sat in, crashed, hurled - oh, and of course, pushed.

tassis · 01/10/2005 17:50

we love the £5 basic pushchair from ELC

steffee · 01/10/2005 18:01

this wicker one is gorgeous, might think about it for Christmas for DD, but last year we bought her bang on the door baby which is half price at the mo and is fantastic!!

Jbck Sorry to hijack this thread but I see you have just been to Playa Blanca with kiddies.

I am off there on Thurs with three kids.Is there anything on in the evenings? We are staying in a private rented villa.

Been going to Puerto Del Carmen for 12 years and never stayed at PB.Went for day when over last April but hoping lots to do with the children (6,4 and 2)

Thanks
x

Hi all,

Thank you very much for all your input.

I hope you don't get a girl starlover - you'd be bankrupt! Love the wicker one too but don't want to spend that much - in case it doesn't really get used. Will be roaming Argos etc.

Thanks again.

There is a navy Silver cross one in Argos - it costs £50 but comes with a travel cot, high chair doll etc. I'm asking for that for my 3yo this Christmas. Sorry but I cant do links
