It's rained constantly here in central scotland for the last week and is DOING MY HEAD IN!!!

Do you think it's worth getting an all in one waterproof suit for my ds or should I just wait and buy a snow suit so we can go to the park when it's cold.

He's 2. WOuld your 2yos wear either? BOth? Neither? Any thoughts?

Where's good and cheap to buy them?

Both if you can. Tchibo have snowsuits for £11.99 if you are near a branch or jackets and trouser for 19.99. H and M sometimes have inexpensive, robust waterproofs. The dungarees are great for trips to the park after a rainfall !

you reckon i'd use both for a 2yo?

i hadn't expected to need either, but at this rate I'm having to change his clothes constantly!

off to look on ebay!

I got a lovely set a week or so ago from Lidl of all places. Dungarees and jacket fleece lined really good quality £7.99
They had a couple left last week, so you might be lucky. Ds1 2.5yrs loves it and was splashing away today.

I used both in Switzerland last winter and dd was over 3.

We were in town the other day with DS2 and it was tipping down, he hates the raincover on the buggy and screams if we use it so we ended up in Millets and bought him an all in one waterproof in a bag - it's perfect, he wasn't too warm and was able to run about in the rain - it was only £14.99 which I thought was good.

Sorry - DS is two in a few weeks!

This year, our 2-year-old DD has a two piece snowsuit that's been treated to be waterproof. We are in Edinburgh. Now if ONLY I could get her to wear gloves or mittens. She just doesn't want to.

I can second the lidl recommendation. my mum bought dd a set and they are fab. i think waterproofs are better as dd is likely to sit down to examine a particularily interested stone, blade of grass, fag butt etc.

Hi - we found layering worked well with fleece/anorak underneath all in one waterproofs - good waterproofs for £12 (2/3 years ago) in Tiso. Not sure if there is one in Stirling though. Ours is in the boot of the Focus I think - I could ask mum to post it? Layering meant retaining the use of the underlayers if unable to wear/didn't need/want to wear the waterproof layer.

hannahsaunt - I would love, love, love your Mum to post them.

thank you.

the ones in tisos are £22.

will be in touch
