Looking for my 3 year old DS. They seem very expensive, but he loves puddle jumping so want to get ideally trousers/jacket!
Any recommendations (or indeed any to avoid) very much appreciated.
Thanks

I bought an all-in-one waterproof suit for my DD aged 2 from Go Outdoors, was about £14 I think and worth every penny, even if she falls over/lies down having a tantrum she is still dry.

Do you have an outlet shopping centre near you?

The waterproof all-in-ones (regatta, tresspass etc) are very good. Put warm clothes/ fleece underneath and let him go!!

I got DS a snow suit from the tip shop for £1 and boil washed and washed with waterproofing stuff (£5ish), Good as new and warm and dry. Grin

I've bought Togz waterproof dungarees from eBay: shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=togz&_sacat=See-All-Categories a couple of times now and they're great - totally waterproof and last ages because of the adjustable bib.

I like the dungarees because they're good for wet summer days as well as snowy winter ones (just up the layers plus appropriate jacket), but the all-in-ones look great too.

thanks all for posting.

eddiesteddy - i have bought an all-in-one in the past, but now he is a little older, i thought separates might give more flexibility?

mumbarthedoor and suzikettles - good suggestions, thank you. i'll look those up.

thanks!

I got my 5 and 3 year olds waterproof trousers from a website called Muddy Puddles. They have been fantastic this winter and saved many trousers from being ruined as they love being outside. From memory they were around 15 pounds.

mummydarlingsausage · 24/12/2010 16:29

My dc' use seperates - i do find them more useful and the trousers are great for on the beach when it's slightly chilly enough for a jumper on top. We have bought a few times from vikingskids they have rain sets by didriksons and are excellent. In the past have also had a Set made by Rukka which was also great quality.

Muddy Puddles, you could try and get some on ebay, DS has waterproof Dungarees that are great.
