Any advice on choice of waterproof clothing for my 17 mth old? Should I get a onepiece waterproof suit or is it better (more cost effective because they don't grow out of it so soon?) to have waterproof dungarees and a coat?
Is a onepiece easier but hotter in mild wet weather?
Am very unsure and don't want to waste money !
Help!

I had one-piece for my oldest, but found that they can get quite sweaty inside them. We now have boilersuits or fleece dungarees which allow sweat out without letting too much in! The boys look really cute in the boilersuits - just like daddy!

I've always been a fan of waterproof gear. My little girl has an all in one from Blooming Marvellous and my 6 year old has trousers and tops from various places, Milletts do them but don't know how small they go. I did also see them in Mothercare today in various different colours and they had a thin jersey lining.

Are babies not allowed to get wet or something? My son is 9 months but the size of a one year old. I haven't yet seen any waterproofs this small. As we often go out with the backpack I'd like some advice on finding somewhere which sells them this small. I'm obviously not going to take him out in torrential downpours, but as it does rain in this country we are invariably going to get rained on at times.
Is it just because a lot of places haven't yet got their winter stock in?
All ideas gratefully received

I've found a company called Muddy Puddles which sells all in one waterproofs for 12-18months. My 12month old is on the skinny side and it fits ok, a little room for growth, but not XSive. They do mail order, and may have a web site, not sure. I found an ad in the back of a baby/pregnancy mag (Practical Parenting ... something like that). HTH.
