Jigsaw mats that roll up - do they work?

Or do they actually drop all the bits and send you nuts?

I had one years ago and it worked well.
It was made of felt, so the pieces didn't move at all.
The only thing was that a big jigsaw got slightly pushed in on itself as it rolled, but it wasn't hard to straighten it all out when you unrolled it.

They don't drop the bits, but they still send you nuts.

The stuff is so frilly that you can't easily move the pieces around, especially once several are joined.

It never lies truly flat on the table.

Even the smallest pieces get bent into a curve at the innermost end, and anything bihgger than the tiniest pieces gets curved anywhere on the mat.

I gave up and bought a large zip-up one with a handle , like an art portfolio. Much much better.

"frilly"? No idea where that came from! I meant "grippy".

Thanks - might look for the zip up one rather than the 'frilly' one!!
