Web Land on the home page - has anyone subscribed?
Angiel · 24/08/2003 10:42
My kids had a little look at the free games you can play on their site yesterday and they seemed to enjoy it. Has anyone subscribed, is it worth the money? Also I noticed that they had 2 programs as well, I've got a 5 yo and a 3 yo so I'm not sure which would be best. Any advice would be great. TIA.

Angiel - I won a free 12 months subscription to Webland (Thank you mumsnet) and my boys love it. They are 6 and 4 (only just), and we chose the older one (Let's Learn), which has plenty that ds2 can cope with, and still has loads to challenge ds1. (Even though he is very bright for his age).
How long do you have to sign up for? and how much is it? Ds1 is only allowed max half hour per day on PC, (I'm a dragon), and several months in is still thrilled with webland for this half hour, and would happily play for much, much longer. We've had it 4 months now, I think. Personally I wouldn't want to sign up for more than 6 months in one go in case they get bored of it.

I've signed up for it for my 4 y.o. DS and he absolutely loves it. We've got the first one called Let's Explore which says for 3-5 year olds and I think that it's probably fine for up to about 6. You pay a monthly subscription and as far as I know you just sign up for as long as you like and if you find you don't like it you just tell them to stop. There are new games every week and they are really popular here too. DD who is 2 loves watching what DS does, and I think that by the time she is 3 she'll be wanting to join in. Some of the activites are on the older end of the scale and some on the lower end so all kids are catered for - can recommend it
