Plastic Playpen?

I am looking for a playpen for my 8 month old but hate the look of the metal/wooden ones. In the states they seem to sell ones which are bright colours made of plastic but I can't find them here. Is that because they aren't safe? If not does anyone know where you can buy one here?

We had one that was all primary colours, from a local independent baby shop. I seem to remember (it was 7 years ago) that it was an Italian make, but can't help you any more than that unfortunately. Good luck with your search.
