Frump city IMO.

Have to say sorry misdee but have to agree with LTH. Very old fashioned imo sorry xxx

bundle · 21/09/2005 20:19

think they look Very Comfy (high priority, in my book!)

LadyTophamHatt · 21/09/2005 20:21

You're not a frump though....

If I was forced to I choose "Santerem" but for that price you might as well buy a normal pair of trainers.

misdee · 21/09/2005 20:22

i wuite like the chesterfield/darlington, as they are old skool style.

LadyTophamHatt · 21/09/2005 20:23

Go to Next and get a similar pair for £25.

bundle · 21/09/2005 20:23

not as comfy in next, imo

misdee · 21/09/2005 20:24

my feet are very wide, shoes from next dont fit me without pinching.

bundle · 21/09/2005 20:24

(have only taken my birkenstocks off today too)

Eaney · 21/09/2005 20:25

I have a bad back and flat feet so Birkenstock sandals are brilliant for me. I like the boots -LA Rochelle (bit pricey) they have. I have also bought one of their arch support thingy and put it into a more fashionable boot. Almost as good as the real thing. Might be worth a try.

LadyTophamHatt · 21/09/2005 20:25

I got some from Clarks the other day.

Sort of shoe/trainer things, very very comfy.

Eaney · 21/09/2005 20:26

It was the 'traditional footbed' I inserted in another shoe.

QueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2005 20:27

Misdee - we can be old fashioned together then - as those are the types of shoes I like to wear - but not at those prices LOL.

spidermama · 21/09/2005 20:28

Ooooh nice. I didn't know Birkenstocks did all those things. I love them because they're the only comfy shoes for me.

Have you looked on ebay?

misdee · 21/09/2005 20:29

i have never paid that much for shoes, so am umm-ing and err-ing. but i have sold some stuff on ebay and on here errrr. oh i dunno.

tamum · 21/09/2005 20:31

Get some of these and wear them with thick socks? (I've got flowery ones, oh yes).

QueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2005 20:31

oh go on - go for it. You deserve to splash out on yourself (I'd probably get the Santerem - but that's because I'm boring and like 'safe' black colours )

misdee · 21/09/2005 20:33

Peter would tell me off tho.

OP posts:
QueenOfQuotes · 21/09/2005 20:34

I bet he'd tell you the same thing - treat yourself

bundle · 21/09/2005 20:34
