A question about quality

If you bought a pair of trousers which fitted perfectly in the shop, and after a couple of hours wear they had stretched and were really a bit too loose, and then by the end of the day they were so loose that you could take them off without undoing the button or unzipping, but didn't need to in any case because they kept falling down, would that be grounds fro returning them?

I'd take them back.

Trouble is, they've been washed a couple of times (I'm wearing them now) and were bought in the summer sale so it was a while before the weather was cold enough for me to wear them.

try and take them back. If not stick them in the tumble dryer for a little while. I have a pair of ted baker trousers that do this I wash them and dry them in the tumble. Bit tight when I put them on but a little while later they are perfect hehe
