Sky talk - would you expect more?

We have moved house recently at very short notice. Arranged for sky to move TV package which they did the day we moved in (although engineer hasn't been back yet to sort multiroom package we have added on yet)
As we were moving I decided we would transfer phone and internet into 1 package with Sky as opposed to BT as I have found them very expensive and unreliable.

Due to short notice phoneline could only be sorted today (we have been in 10 days) as the engineers actually come from BT Hmm - we still have to wait another 10 days for broadband as had to wait for phoneline to be fitted to "order" broadband.

Engineers came as planned and "reinstalled" 1 phone line, they have now left but there is no way that I can connect phone to box as the sky has to remain plugged in for interactive services needs a double connector.

phoned sky to order broadband and they said router would be sent out in next 3-5 days blah blah. when I asked about engineer to check the other extensions for this to run from I was told I would need to pay for an independent engineer to come and do this Shock - when i asked why when I had already paid for sky to install phone and do this I needed to do this I was told this is the way it is Hmm

so what have I actually paid for? I have a phone line running to house I can't plug phone into as no connectors, no idea if other lines in house work and they are now telling me I need to pay an independent engineer to come and sort this out -also multiroom package supposed to connect to phone line in bedroom but again no idea if it works!

I think this is really poor service but is this just me being 8 months pregnant and hormonal?

We did the same at the end of August - dumped BT (at last) and we dont use our landline anyway.
Took forever to get the phone line installed and ages for the broadband.
We also had problems with the socket/connector thing - they said it didnt work, even though the people before us had a BT line working properly.

Eventually after long phone calls, they sent an engineer or someone anyway who replaced it and it all now works.

But have to agree their customer service was crap.
