PVRs, anyone got one?

Wondering whether to get one of these newfangled telly recorder thingies. Should we? Any brands you can recommend? Are they easy to use?

We have a Thomson one, which records onto the hard drive and plays dvds. It is very good, and easy to use - the only thing which is hard about it, is the initial set up - it took us ages, but very happy with it.

I wouldn't be without sky+ now!!!! Its amazing. Plus there's a rumour that it'll be available for new customers for free, come the new year, subject to signing up with them, of course...
