How do you store hats, scarves and gloves please?

Last year we kept them in wicker baskets on the shelf above the coat rack but we need the shelf for DS's big school rucksack and school sports bag now and it didn't work very well anyway as the DCs couldn't reach them.

We have small cupboard in the hallway we could use but it's very narrow and so not very user friendly - I think it will get very very messay very quickly.

I've been looking on the Ikea website as I thought they might have something clever to inspire me but I haven't been able to find anything.

Anyone got any ideas please?

TIA

gloves sewn on to elastic & through sleeves, or put straight into pockets when taken off - so no need to store

IKEA sells hanging storage www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70115578
We have got one in our wardrobe (in the coats compartment) for socks and other little things. They come in different desings and colours.
