Good camera for a 6 yr old?

DD2 has asked for a new camera for Christmas as her kidizoom one died after being dropped in a very muddy puddle!
Obviously don't want to spend too much just in case it meets the same fate! But i think it needs to be a proper camera this time as the Kidizoom ones are just too expensive!

Will be looking for one off Ebay, for under £30 preferably.

Please recommend me some cameras please.

DS2 (also 6!) loves taking pictures but wanted a proper camera (like daddy's) not a children's camera (his words!!) I got one from tesco online for about £30. I'm rubbish at links but just googled "tesco digital cameras" and a very cool pink vivitar one popped up

DS2 had a vivitar one a few years ago for Christmas. It was so rubbish i took it back after Christmas so i don't trust them but thanks for replying. [hsmile]

next have ones for £20 for kids...

Google shopping allows you to do a search, e.g. "compact digital camera -vivitar" (the minus removes results with vivtar in) and then set a price range.

It might take a while to trawl all the irrelevant results, but there are some possibles in there, e.g. a Hitachi camera at Argos and a Polaroid at overstock.com.

Hi, have just bought 5 yr old dd a camera for xmas and read Vivatar cheaper ones not very good, so hv bought this (see below). 'Fraid cant do links but I bouight it from tesco online and the reviews were okay. It was reduced from £60.
