For only £100ish. I'd love to get dh one for Xmas. I don't drink coffee so have NO idea what to look for. I know he likes an espresso. Would they all do that? Any recommendations gratefully received. Thank you

We've got the De'Longhi Icona and would recommend it. Hubby liked it because it steams the milk. Amazon have it for £120.

I've been researching this for about a year (since our last one broke and am determined to be thorough as good coffee is important, we're due to buy a new one any day now).

I'll share my research findings. From all the coffee I've tasted and machines I've had good reccommendations for, the only way to go is to get a Delonghi.

Whatever your budget, they'll do the best machine it seems. Also, if you want to test, apparently John Lewis allow you to try coffee machines and usually have offers around Nov/Dec time. Also, the guarantee from John Lewis is good should anything go wrong.

Could you update us on what you learn on your coffee machine quest, I'm interested.
