stair gate help

Does anyone with cats have a stair gate that their cat can get through? they all seem to have really small gaps and if our cat tries to jump it at the top of the stairs she'll probably land with a splat at the bottom! if anyone has one their cat fits through please let me know.
cheers

We fitted ours so that the cat could squeeze underneath. We've recently been given one and the cat, who is pretty fat, can actually squeeze through this one. We got ours from Mothercare and the one we were given is similar and I think it's Baby Dan. We have the wooden type that fix to the walls and are not in a frame if that's any help.

Aren't cats supposed to be able to squeeze through small gaps? If their head fits they can usually get through.

Our cat could get through ours quite easily. They can squeeze through quite small gaps. Think the gates were Lindam ones - but can't quite remember.
