sewing lessons in central london

I've bought myself a basic Elna sewing machine for my birthday, and I would love a few lessons to learn how to use it properly and get started.

Does anyone know of a place in Central London that offers lessons, or of an individual who will come and give lessons in your home? (I am 7 and half months pregnant, and getting around is a bit difficult so I don't want to travel far)

I'm interested in learning the basics- i.e. how to thread a bobin ect. ect. Any ideas? Any London mums want to make some money by giving lessons?

John Lewis probably offers these? I know they offer crafting lessons in general. I'll have a dig around for other ideas.

There are some likely-sounding people here , some of whom offer special classes, it sounds like.

Thanks NQC, that is very helpful

I'll chase down some of those leads, and ask next time in in John Lewis too!
