Help needed! Present for 12 year old boy

My nephew's 12th birthday is coming up and I am at a complete loss as to what to buy him! Any book recommendations? Do 12 year old boys play? And if so, what with? (He lives at the other end of the country so I don't see him that often and I have girls so am flummoxed!)

I recommend a kite or diabolo, which I bought from the kiteshop.com. I don't work for them!

SDS is about to turn 11 and very mature for his age. He wants lego still or Hornby stuff or anything you can build/put together.

Is your nephew a creative or outdoorsy/sporty type or a computer geek? 4

SDS would be equally happy with any PSP game or what about itunes vouchers?
I just go to Hawkin.com and get something quirky, that usually appeals to 12 year olds.

Not very outdoorsy, loves his DS but I don't know what he does or doesn't have. Thanks ladies will check out both of those sites.
