Heres hoping for some good advice! As you all know I have 5yr old triplets!!!! We have a 7 seater Ford Galaxy which came with one special child seat. We are off to France in two weeks time and will be travelling for two days to reach our destination......yes I know, we must be mad! At the moment we have all three in the middle of the car, one using the special seat, Rebecca in the middle on a booster with a lap belt and Thomas on the end with a booster and the adult seat belt. I am not happy with this and more so now as I have just read on another site that a child should not use a booster with a lap belt, I am horrified to say that I didnt know that. I have just been looking up alternate seats, they are too big now for their Britax ones as they weigh approximately 40lbs. I see that a Graco seat for children up to 11yrs of age was recommended by Mother and Baby magazine, does anyone know anything about that one? The price was good too about £45, my budget when I have to buy for three. The other problem is, and you all will know about it, how to stop them arguing on long journeys! I have just read that the best thing to do is split them up, but it would mean putting one or two of them in the very back, then I cant reach them! Hoping for lots of help!

Hi Triplets

I started childminding and had to buy a car seat for a lap belt. i ended up getting a Romer Vario. It is designed for use in the middle seat of a car with either a lap or 3 point seat belt. I got it in a local baby shop and it only cost £37.50 It suits 15 - 25 kgs and sits over the child instead of them sitting on it like regular car seats. Hope this helps!?
