Anyone bought a B&Q kitchen?

A new B&Q store has opened locally (I'm in Ireland) and I'm mad about one of their kitchens. However, I'm hesitating as I don't know a) are their kitchens good quality? b) are they reliable? Please help with any advice, the 20% discount runs out later this week!!

I just visited a friend at the weekend who has just had a new B&Q kitchen fitted. It's lovely, looks great and the B&Q fitters appear to have done a great job. Of course it will depend on the quality of the fitters at your local store though.

my uncle in l;aw had one fitted last spring, and its lovely, very well done and good finish, reasonable price too.

Finally - after 2 years - we have a kitchen! We decided on the B&Q one simply because it was the least expensive but looked good. We fitted it ourselves. (not worktops though - got a professional to do those!)
Thoroughly recommend it as

  1. delivery was efficient
  2. damaged sink replaced quickly
  3. If you plan to fit yourself, they have a good system where each box is labelled with what else you will need to fit it. Having said that - everything still very new so unable to comment on durability etc. Good luck!

i had a lovely b and q kitchen inmy old old flat. FIL fitted it, but i loved it. the actual kitchen was tiny, but we took advantage of their free design servive and made the best use of a tiny space (approx 6ftx9ft IIRC.) it was the selling point of our flat, everyone raved about the kitchen. we plumbed the washing machine into a airing cupboard, so the kitch had dishwasher, cooker and hob all intergrated.

my mum and dad have a b&q kitchen, although my dad fitted it himself as he said it was very simple job to do, even with basic diy skills.

use the planning service to plan the kitchen and get all the bits and pieces you need and then either fit it yourself or get a local carpenter to do it for you. thats all b&q do anyway, find local carpenters, plumbers etc on your behalf.
