Desperately need to get DS some open toe sandals but the 3 shops I've looked in this weekend (inc John Lewis) were all sold out. His feet grow so fast i thought I'd wait until it was actually hot before getting them but now they're all gone!

Any ideas for ordering online - but I want them asap.

I always have this problem, they expect you to buy sandals in about march even though their feet will be half a size bigger by august.
You need to work out what size Doodles he needs and then just get on the phone and call up all your local shops and see if ANYONE has ANY in that size. Last year my DS apparently got the last pair in London - and they were camoflage pattern which wouldn't have been my first choice - but it was the only way I could get anything to fit him. Mad isn't it. Good luck!

it really is annoying, the shop assistant in john lewis said that all the summer range comes in in May and is gone by beginning of June. He's changed shoe size twice from May to now so if I'd of bought sandals then, they'd wouldn't fit him now.

I guess ringing round and trailing round shops near me is the only way. thanks

Asda? Tesco? Woolies? Matalan? cheap high street shoe shop? street market?

It is annoying when their feet grow so fast you just can't risk getting them too early.

I should have also said, I have to work tomorrow so wanted to try and get them online or order them by phone to have delivered but I don't think it's going to be possible. might have to be late into work I think. bless him, his feet are going to bake this week in the shoes he has at the moment.

Stoopid, innit? My ds's sandals fell apart (literally!) yesterday, so today we plannned a 'quick' trip into town to find some. We looked in every shop in town that sells children's shoes (about 10 of them) and they all had winter shoes in and just a few odd pairs of sandals left. We finally got them in Tesco. It's ridiculous, isn't it, it's like PPH says - they grow so quickly, you just can't buy things like shoes months in advance. Why do the shops not realise this? Someone should take note and corner the market in selling clothes in the season they are intended - they would make a fortune.
