Clarins tinted self tanning face cream is very good. I've had a few people commenting on how well I look and asking if I have been abroad. I'm very pale and have sensitive skin and I have used a variety of products over the years but clarins looks the best on me. It's more of a sunkissed look rather than an electric beach look. The key to getting an even and essentially a more natural look is exfoliating the skin beforehand. Good luck.

I'd second that - very good. Their body one is also excellent and they do a pad-like thing to help you put it on without streaking. The only time I've used a fake tan without looking streakier than a piece of orange bacon!

I like the ambre solaire instant bronzer - it has colour in it so you can see the effect instantly, as well as fake tan. It's never streaky on me and also makes your skin look glowy as it is very slightly iridescent.

used to use clarins, which is quite good, but quite subtle (sometimes too subtle) but very stinky. Now use St Tropez and I think it is better. They do vary according to your skin tone though so you have to experiment a bit...

the lancome one - specifically for face is good

Decleor do a facial one that is good but quite suble if you are dark skinned. Avon ones are meant to be good and are cheaper than the others mentioned here. For wash-off colour Glamazon by Benefit is absolutely fab, as used by J Lo and me.
