i always thought, this was bc, you'd only ever need 1 pushchair . how wrong was i!, how many have you got?, we seem to have accumulated more than we have space for, are we odd? :

no1. a travel system, my mum bought it without telling us, wasn't what we would have chosen.

no2. a 3-wheeler, we live in a rural village with a canal to go walking along.

no3. a cheap buggy, when dd got a bit older

no4. a m&p 2-in-1, a freebie, passed on by my brother.

no5. not purchased yet, but now with a 3yr old dd, and new ds, feel the need for a new stroller, but is it a necessity or hormones?!! [wink}

Daren't even begin tolist all of the buggies/prams that i have had as far too many and embarrasing really when i think of how much i have spent on them all.

I have 2 ds and my obsession started when the ds1 was about 18 months we had used a silvercross 3 in 1 up to that point but decided i wanted something smaller and easier for the bus. then got an evening job at mothercare and thats when it started! I brought a maclaren stroller and hated it so brought a pliko, liked that but it wasn't as light as i really wanted, so brought another stoller, then 3 wheelers became the buggy to have so brought a landrover buggy 'to go walking with' (never went on anything more rough than my local high street LOL) brought quite a few more besides as well.

and ds2 had 3 prams before he was even born! (one i brought one was given and was nice so kept it and the other was given to me by my sil but was not very nice but didn't want to offend her by throwing it away straight away) and i have lost count of the buggies that he has had since.

have just sold my mamas and papas pulse, still trying to sell my mamas and papas three wheeler said that was going to be it and then brought a mamas and papsa ziko before i went on holiday!

How old is your ds2 vickiyumyum? From your post I've counted at least 11 pushchairs/prams.

vickiyumyum · 03/09/2005 17:15

my ds2 is three ! i know i know he doesn't need a buggy and defintley not a brand new one for over £100! just couldn't help myslef, am trying to transfer my obsession to handbags and clothes for me!

for what its worth i always sell on the predecessor once i have the new one.

I started with a Britax travel system
Then got a Maclaren Quest for the car
Then got an Urban Detour 3 wheeler from UKP
It arrived and I didn't like it so sold it and got another Urban Detour 3 wheeler from ebay which is GREAT
Then got given a Silver Cross coach built pram for new baby which I LOVE and use with a toddler seat.
Then bought a double Maclaren for the car and travelling.
I also have a 1980's Silver Cross pram at my Mums.
I only regret the first three wheeler as all others have been perfect for different situations.
DD1 is 2.5 and dd2 is 10 weeks.
I daren't look at any more as DH would not be happy. He doesn't get it at all, but then he doesn't use them. I feel better after seeing this thread though.

Hunkermunker & Nemo - how do you like the Marco Sky? Shhh, whisper or Marslady will hear you.....

twirlaround · 03/09/2005 20:01

I had 5 for one child
Would have liked at least 1 more but too late now

kath4kids · 03/09/2005 20:24

I am dh of kath and have given up because clearing garage last w/e and finding 6 pushchairs find it a little excessive for two babies.
