i always thought, this was bc, you'd only ever need 1 pushchair . how wrong was i!, how many have you got?, we seem to have accumulated more than we have space for, are we odd? :

no1. a travel system, my mum bought it without telling us, wasn't what we would have chosen.

no2. a 3-wheeler, we live in a rural village with a canal to go walking along.

no3. a cheap buggy, when dd got a bit older

no4. a m&p 2-in-1, a freebie, passed on by my brother.

no5. not purchased yet, but now with a 3yr old dd, and new ds, feel the need for a new stroller, but is it a necessity or hormones?!! [wink}

jessicaandbumpsmummy · 02/09/2005 20:49

  3. Given a double Urban Detour which i have exchanged with another MNer for buggy number 4

  4. Marco Sky

we bought the mothercare citilite before ds was born and never needed anything else. Not intending to have no.2 until ds fully mobile so can use citilite for no.2

I bought a Jane Powertrack with Matrix - so flat from birth - 4 mths and now still use the Powertrack and haven't used anything else, DS 21 mths. Have taken this by plane, 8 times, boat, train, underground and car.

DH loves it and I like the way DS can still lie 90% flat when he takes a nap when we are out.

No I don't work for Jane

poglepuss · 02/09/2005 21:00

NotQuiteCockney · 02/09/2005 21:08

I've had two buggies for two kids: a Mountain Buggy Terrain for walking, and some sort of MacLaren for public transit/flying. Don't think I'll have any more buggies or kids.

LIZS · 02/09/2005 21:15

3 !

Silver Cross 3-in-1 Navy classic on sprung chassis

Maclaren Classic complete (Navy with greeen check) from when ds was 6 months, bought for canal boat holiday and shopping, but still used above in winter and for walks until ds was about 2.

Quinny Fashion 3 wheeler for dd as we, by then, lived in Switzerland and needed something cosy for freezing winter, snow and mountain walks.

Reused the Maclaren for her, although now 7 years old ! Clip to close has lost its spring and footrest now permanently down but otherwise does the job and still looks ok. dd's just 4 so seldom used now anyway.

lucykate · 02/09/2005 21:46

so we are quite normal then,...nutcracker, 16!, have you still got them all?.

what do you do with unwanted pushchairs that wouldn't even get a single bid if put on ebay?

dh doesn't want his garage getting cluttered up!

misdee · 02/09/2005 21:49

i have no idea how may i have actually had. atm i have 4

  1. p+t e3, mainly use it as a double for school runs or anyhere too far for dd2 to walk (she is 3, but not fab at walking)

  2. quinney zapp, mainly used as travel system when at the hospital

  3. today i got a mothercare rococo pram from ebay. its fab, dd3 can lay flat, i can attach a buggy board if needed, huuuuuge basket, essiential seeing i dont drive atm.

and 4. i have a graco citisport in the shed which isnt used atm, so am going to ebay it soon.

Skribble · 02/09/2005 21:53

16 FGS where do you put them? I had the
Big Silvercross - for the village and going on the train to town,
Cosy Pushchair with hood and cosy toes- for car and once they were too big for silvercross- replaced with cosy 3 wheeler for 2nd one.
Umbrella folding buggy - for bus.

bran · 02/09/2005 21:55

I have 3
an Urban Detour 3-wheeler which is fab for walking, I hardly even need to push it, I adore it;
a Maclaren Volo which was intended to be for public transport use as it's very lightweight, but doesn't recline, doesn't have good back support and has small wheels with no suspension so stops at every crack in the pavement and jolts my arms;
a P&T Smart Buggy bought to replace the Volo but I hate it, ds is very comfortable in it but I find it very hard to use.

Still looking for a good replacement for the Volo.

Skribble · 02/09/2005 21:55

PS Silvercross was £10 in a charity shop, loved it used for daytime sleeping, just getting round to selling it and hope to make a good profit, I will give some to charity shop I think. Selling the 3 wheeler also as it faired not to bad also.

misdee · 02/09/2005 21:56

bran, have you tried the triupmh?

bran · 02/09/2005 21:58

The Triumph still has the problem with small wheels and no suspension misdee, although the seat would be much more suitable for ds.

misdee · 02/09/2005 21:59

well dont get a m+p pilko, used my sisters the other day, urgh!

nutcracker · 02/09/2005 22:00

I didn't have all 16 at once. I think the most i had at once was 4.

I either sold them on after i'd finnished with them or chucked them if they were no good. Gave a couple away too.

bran · 02/09/2005 22:03

I'm sort of considering a Citilite misdee, although it doesn't fold down very small so it would still take up a fair amount of space in the boot of the car.

Would also have to pay cash for it as dh would notice it on the credit card bill . Anyone want to buy a Smart Buggy?

misdee · 02/09/2005 22:04

do u want my citisport?

no raincover tho and small tear. can send you a pic

Nemo1977 · 02/09/2005 22:06

  3. sold 3 wheeler to buy a kingswood pushchair
  4. a chicoo ponee xs this gets used the most

starlover · 02/09/2005 22:06
