I am going to my aunts 60th birthday soon and i am stuck for ideas.
She stays in scandinavia, is active, still works, not frilly bubble bath type.
I don't know her that well and am struggling for ideas, needs to be fairly portable as she will be flying back.

Bookends with a British theme?
Does she drink tea -- nice teapot or mug for other hot drinks? What about a mug decorated by your child? Lots of cafes have facilities for you to do that now, or you can try an arts/craft shop near you for the ceramic & paints.
Warm scarf, gloves, esp. if slightly British or a theme local to where you live, or where she has lived in Britain?
What about tea towels by children at your child's school?

Thanks, I could give her a tea towel, one way to get rid of them.
I think the mug might be a idea, we have vouchers for a local place but haven't managed to use them yet. Maybe try it tomorrow and see what they come up with. Doesn't seem very grand for a 60th but I suppose she isn't a very "grand" kind of person. Might phone my mum or brother and see if i can chip in on whatever they are getting.
