My dp left some masking tape around the frosted glass on our new doors (silly sod) and now he has taken it off (it was on for about 2 months!) its left a sticky kind of stuff behind, does anyone know what i mean? how the hell can we get it off! we have tried the usual, hot water, washing up liquid, soaking it and scrubbing but its not working - help!! its a right old mess!

some kind of solvent should shift it - eg nail polish remover, white spirit

try a jml magic eraser..they seem to get rid of most stuff!!

Just use some baby oil!!! It has a variety of uses, and even takes fingerprint dust from cars! (I speak from experience)

Kayleigh · 31/08/2005 16:30

and what other uses would babyoil have BLANKfloozypuddingandpie?

BLANKfloozypuddingandpie · 31/08/2005 16:31

Why making babies' skin oh-so-soft of course!!!

spacedonkey · 31/08/2005 16:57

would that lakeland stuff work on the disgusting sticky residue left behind by self-adhesive floor tiles?

Kayleigh · 31/08/2005 19:14

spacedonkey, it probably would.

turps

then wash with washing up liquid to remove the turps
