Cars that fit 3 car seats in the back?

Hi, we're ttc dc3. We currently have a Volvo v40 but I'm not sure if it will fit 3 car seats in the back.

We quite like the Nissan Almera Tino, does anyone know if this fits 3 car sears? Any other recommendations also welcome Smile

The Citroen C4 Picasso fits 3 seats.
(I assume that the C4 grand and C8 do too)

Can recommend them as good cars too.

Is it car seats or boosters you'll need to fit?

We could get two boosters and a seat in the back of our touran but we did have to change one of our graco boosters for a britax one to manage this.

I've seen two seats and a booster in the back of an old style scenic as well. A couple of folks we know have had Kias with their big families.

Honda CRV - we had a high-back booster, a 9mth-4yrs, and an infant car seat. And then the 9mt-4yrs and 2 high-back boosters.

This is just the thread that I was meaning to start. Expecting DC3 in March and we are in the same situation - will be watching this closely. Thanks.

We have a Ford C Max which fits three in the back.

Dalrymps · 30/08/2010 21:52

Well ds1 is nearly 3 so has a maxi cosi priory xp, ds2 is 5mo and in a maxi cosi caribo but will probably be also in something like a
Maxi cosi priory xp by the time dc3 comes along, even if we conceive soon...

oh dear I think 3 proper seats as opposed to boosters may be tricky. Best thing to do is to take the two seats you have along to some dealers and see what happens.

Northernlurker · 30/08/2010 23:25

Oh and why are you ttc when you've 2 under 3 and 1 is only 5 months? Are you mad woman? Grin

Dalrymps · 30/08/2010 23:47

He he, yes I think I am a little mad. Ds1 is 3 in oct though. My theory is that this way I'll get the baby bit over in one go Hmm and hopefully come out the other side sane!

DH has just got a Peugot 5008 as a company car and it's fab. It seems much roomier on the inside than comparable MPVs and after almost two years of squashing poor DS1 on his booster between the two 9mth plus seats in my Scenic, and him having to wriggle under the permanently fastened seatbelt to get in and out (he can't get his hand in to do up/undo the buckle) he has ooodles of room and loves it.

Only niggle with it is not enough cup holders!

Have you heard of multimac car seats? We have just ordered one - will be a fourseater for us (will JUST fit in the back of my Fiat Punto) but they also do 3-seater ones. Just a though - you might not need/want to change your car.

bellabelly · 31/08/2010 00:21

link to multimac website if you are interested

Dalrymps · 31/08/2010 01:18

Thaybjs for the link! Off for a look...
