I'm always getting told off by dh for saying 'tape' - it's 'record' he tells me!

JoolsToo · 31/08/2005 19:29

series link is good too.

If you're watching say 'Lost' you record the first programme and then press the green button [series link] and it will tape all programmes in the series - even if the programme timing changes - marvellous!

what fascinates me is that it still records if the box is turned off!

I LOVED Sky! Unfortunately, can't afford it just now and have Freeview.

stacijc · 31/08/2005 19:40

sky are changing their deals soon

we rung up to cancel coz we just can't afford it and they said that in november FOR EXiSTING CUSTOMERS they are stating this new package where u pick the channels u want...so u don't have to have millions that you will never watch and its pay per channel. seeing as we were ringing to cancel they offered us half price till nov and then we will change to the other(cheaper) package

been brill tho, no complaints from us...just a few glitchjy pictures when its the first very hot/very cold day

didn't know u had a choice about where to put ur dish tho? thought it had to be in a certain place for the signal?

I work for Sky and am nice

Socci it depends where engineers gets best signal to your house hun as to where the dish is sited.

Any questions ask away and I will answer for you. I work on engineers helpline so am more clued up on install etc.

jamboure · 31/08/2005 20:40

answer to sophiaaimes.sky engineers will not run cable through loft/ internal walls etc.

A standard installation consists of cable run and tacked to skirting boards, anything other than this will be cancelled down and reffered to an independant(private) company

If a dish need to go on a chimney it may require additional brackets that is chargeable, this is to be paid on day to engineer.

PLEASE don't let these sales guys be pushy with you if you are unceratin don't be forced into anything even if they do say it's an offer. these offers last a while and these guys have a conversion target to meet

jamboure · 31/08/2005 20:45

p.s
