Can anyone recommend a good bike trailer for pulling two DCs around in?
TIA

What's your budget? How many miles/month would you use (and how old are the kids?)

RuthChan · 28/08/2010 21:29

The kids are nearly 2 and nearly 4.
Our budget is fairly open...
How many miles a month is a harder one. I would probably use it for the school run and general shopping around etc.

You could do what we did, buy a mid-range price one, see how much you use it, and move on to a better on if you find you use it a lot.

Some top quality brands are Chariot, Burleigh, Wike, Dolphin, Trek.

The basic ones (Argos, Ebay, whatever your local bike shop sells) most people are happy enough with those.

We started with a basic mid-range one (like Philips, I guess) and when that wore out we moved onto a Chariot.

Some reviews, and other stuff to think about.

Burley even, oops!

Thanks Ragged!
That's great.
I will start investigating...

Hi Ragged
We bought a Croozer trailer today.
I am very happy and the kids are really excited.
Can't wait to try it on the school run tomorrow.
Thanks for your help!!

Because we knew we'd be using ours a lot and on rugged paths we got a Chariot. The wheel suspension means that there's a smoother ride for lo's. But they are expensive and I would second the idea of going middle range first and moving up later. But do watch ebay because occasionally you can get good deals on older models.

You can buy a Kangaroo Bike if you can afford it. I think it is much better/safer to have your kids in front of you. But it is very expensive. www.londonrecumbents.com/?id=394

Ooops, you have already bought a trailer.
