question about amby natures nest fitted sheet

Hi there

I have an Amby Natures Nest and my DS loves it! The only problem I have is that the fitted sheets are hand wash only which is really impractical so I haven't bought one as I wanted to just make a fitted sheet myself out of machine washable material.

well, i tried today following a website describing how to make a moses basket fitted sheet, but it didn't really work. I think it's cos the mattress is not flat, its curved. So, my question is, to anyone who has a fitted sheet for the Amby Natures Nest, can you describe the design? Then I can stitch it myself. It's be a shame to have to buy one just to get hte pattern (as I certainly wouldn't use it- have no intention of handwashing it!)

I had an amby for dd2 and always put the sheets in the washing machine, never had any problems. I think they say it's handwash because of the elastic that goes around the mattress. I often washed it in a lingerie bag.

I bunged mine in the wash to with no problems.

is it hand wash? i never noticed, i used to bung the whole lot in the wash, hammock and all.

thanks guys for this. i think i still want to make my own one. can any of you tell me what the basic design is?

i think tbh you're best just getting a sheet and copying it, tbh, it's hard to describe because you have to leave gaps for the velcro.
