Recommendations on a toddler bike seat

Hi there,

We are getting some bikes soon and wondered what seat you would recommend for my almost 3 year old.

I somehow feel a rear one is safer than a front seat (don't know why, just feels that way!), and as he is a very active child I don't think it will be that long before he has his own bike so I don't want to spend a fortune if I can help it.

Also, if anyone has tips on riding a bike with a toddler on the back (whilst controlling a 4 year on his own bike!) then please let me know,

TIA

I've read some good reviews about the 'Bellelli' seat, has anyone got that one? It is the cheapest Halfords and Amazon do so I was worried it could be too cheap (therefore rubbish) but the reviews seem brilliant...

Mumsnet has its own reviews on this. I have been perfectly happy with Argos bike seats, btw.
