Every once in a while when online shopping I come across either fantastic or crap products, customer service, website or all of the above. And I think it's important to let other Mums know both the bouquets and the brickbats. Ordered something online from www.storkgifts.co.uk 3 weeks ago. Got order confirmation, they deducted from my credit card. Still waiting so rang and emailed and no apology, no sorry for our incompetence, just oh didn't someone ring you. And the long and the short of it is that this little family run business has no concept of good customer service, of looking after its customers, of delivering on its promises. Amazing! How can you succeed in business that way?
And then on the other hand there are fabulous companies like Frugi who sell exceptional products, fantastic customer service, brilliant website and people. Also Cambridge Baby who sell the best children's jumpers on the planet and who are genuinely lovely people . . .
I guess that's the moral of this story the lovely people who care and take the time and trouble to go the extra mile succeed and grow and those who see their customers as pimples on their pumpkins will probably go bust and blame everyone else for it . . .
