Baby Born!

I cannot believe I've started this thread, ohh dolls and stuff, ewwwww, but....

Lottie is expecting her new brother or sister around her birthday/Xmas. So as a present for birthday/xmas but I'll give it to her the day she meets her new sibling I bought her a baby born.

The reson I chose this one was because it seems to come with the most accessories that other people can add to and then she can always be doing to doll what I am doing to baby. You can't put baby annabell in the bath for example but you can with the born one.

Did I make the right choice or is there another, equally ugly, overpriced, pink, naff doll that is superior to the Baby Born?

My dd got this one last christmas from granny. She wanted Princess Alexa ot summit!! but when we looked we thought that one was limited. My dd is 5 in October and loves this doll. It now has the following :

Pushchair, bath towel and slipper set, ballerina outfit, riding outit, winter dress and summer dress, baseball boots and red shoes, nappies, poncho - ok I'll stop. The point is other people can buy or it and Toys r us always have reduced outfits. This one goes in the bath. I think it's a good doll in the scheme of things

So you vote for Baby Born then, ok cheers.
Anyone else?

I second baby born, but dont bother with getting the official clothes etc, or that doll will cost you nearly as much as your baby! try wahmall.co.uk - I think theres a shop on there that sells handmade clothes pretty cheap-"dollyallsorts" maybe (damn work computer wont let me on the site!) you can get a dolls pram (if she dosent already have one) for £5 in argos, last time i checked.

Also, dont tell her the baby "cries" (or maybe its a laugh??) when you squeeze its arm, cause its the most horrible noise you will ever hear - worse than fingernails on a blackboard.

Oh no is it? Is it worse than the baby annabel cry? Oh dear god!

We have Baby Born, Baby Anabell and Baby Princess Alexa!!

4 girls in one house and 3 different dolls

They all get played with alot but to be hones Baby born gets played with least.

She is a bit hard (sorry don't know how else to put it!!) Very plasticy in my opinion, But she is lighter than baby Anabel so my youngest who is 2 favours her!

The twins play with all of them but Baby Princess Alexa the most.

Costs a blooming Fortune!!

We have Baby Born, Baby Annabel and numerous other dolls in this house! Dd1 has also given dd2 her old dolls, twins, a boy and a girl, apparently! You can sometimes buy preterm size baby clothes in sales at Mothercare etc that will fit dolls - I think Baby Annabel is taller than dd2 was, when she was born, lol!
