Best hoover when you've got a puppy/dog?

As thread suggests, we're getting a puppy on Sunday and our hoover is rubbish so going to get a new one to keep on top of the dog hair! He is a Jack Russell dog by the way.

We have a Dyson with pet hair attachment - excellent for getting cat hair out of rugs. They do an attachment for handheld as well now I think.

We have the Dyson Animal. It is great. Gets it all up without a problem. We have 2 jack russells. A short haired who sheds loads and a broken coated one who doesnt shed at all.

Miele cat and dog. Turbo brush lifts hair easily and nice and light compared to dyson.
