always have problems getting the kids shoes so on Saturday about 4.45 I tried to order a pair from a russell and bromley store, giving my credit card details. Was told they had the right size in stock so on Monday made a special trip (25 miles) to collect them, arriving just after 9a.m. They had said they'd keep them 24 hours. I was told they'd been put back on the shelves and sold on Sunday.
I don't actually believe they ever had them, as they produced the right size but wrong width. I hadn't been told the store was open Sunday - or I'd have gone then - but anyway it was only to 4.30 so they shouldn't have been back on the shelves in time to sell.
When I got home e-mailed their head office and they agreed to send a pair without charging me their normal delivery fee. Told them to phone me after 4 (they'd lost my credit card details) and they phone at 3.50. Then they claim to have lost the phone number so I have to phone long distance at peak rates. I hate shoe shopping.
