Ford Focus - My daughters feet touching the back of drivers seat

We've got 2 children, a boy 4.4 and a girl 2.3 and we drive a ford focus estate which has been a great car.
My son sits in a booster seat behind the passenger seat and my daughter sits behind the drivers seat in a maxi cosi priori (stage 2 , up to 18kg).
I do all the driving and must have the drivers seat all the way back to be comfortable.
However this now means that my daughters feet are touching the back of my seat.
I've tried putting one of the seats in the middle and keeping the seat behind mine free but they don't seem to fit very well in the middle.
Has anybody else had this problem?

why don't you put the 4 year old behind you?

Put the four year old behind you this is a problem in all cars when children are in stage one car seats. If putting the four year old be hide you doesn't work teach the two year old not to kick your seat (this is a good plan anyway and take her shoes off on long journey so it is more comfit able for her and less annoying for you. I have a grand c4 picasso and I am sure the same thing would happen in my car. Children grow so fast it is likely to only be for a short while

sorry, I probably didn't explain very well.
The 4 year old is much bigger and won't fit behind the drivers seat.
The problem is not that it is annoying me but I'm worried it will be uncomfortable/harmful if she can't keep her legs straight especially when we go on long journeys where we're in the car for up 10 hours in a day (with breaks obviously).

get a bigger car

just kidding

my 8 yr old is on a booster cushion and his feet touch the seat in front if it is pushed right back.

I have the driving seat quite far forward as I have short legs, so it's not a problem for us.

once they are off the booster it stops being a problem as their feet are in the footwell.
