Hello

Are feeding pillows worth the money? Do you need to have one or can you do without?

thanks

I had a v-shaped feeding pillow when I bfed my 3 DDs and I loooooooooved it! In the early days, it helped support the baby's body as I faffed about tying to get the latch right. As I got more proficient at feeding, I could get the baby latched on, then have both hands free as the pillow held her in place.

However, like all these things, I'm sure you'll get someone else on soon who says they never used theirs at all

I loved it too- would totally recommend. I had one of those firm ones shaped like letter c sort of, covered in blue check material. about 30 quid in john lewis.

would recommend - any will do. I have a squidgy beanbag and found it invaluable especially after having a c section and it being difficult to feed and not hurt the scar area.

You'll need some sort of pillow, unless you have a very short body! I needed two - my special C shaped one and a normal one underneath to get DS into the right position for feeding.

They are useful too when baby is learning to sit up, as they provide coverage for all potential fall zones!

So yes, worth the money.

I just use a normal pillow, just tuck the corner around me to support dd's head, now 4 months. I keep one at each place I feed her around the house. I am on the small side though (5'3"), so whether it would work for someone taller I don't know. I had a c-section & always felt comfortable feeding like this.

I never needed any kind of pillow. I am not very well endowed and maybe this is why. I used to sit on the settee and rest my elbow on the arm rest.
