Can't find my receipt for John Lewis Washing Machine

It's about 18 months old and cost about £600.
Will they come and sort it out for me if I can't find my details?

It's got to be worth asking them, surely. I bet they've got a record of the purchase.

They came and fixed a broken cot for us despite no receipt. They still had a record of the sale on their computer system.

Paid on J/L card.

We have done the same and have had no problems. They have a record of our large purchases on thier computer systems.

You were right. Have a man coming out on Monday. No more washing clothes in the bathtub!

Man was here just after half eight. Pressed two buttons together, and it started working.
"I've done a hard reset on the computer" says he. "Can I do that myself if it happens again?" Said I. "Oh no" says he "You might end up programming the computer with the wrong stuff".

So off he goes. And my washing is churning away happily.

Still think I can press two buttons together if necessary, though.
