OK @gemsgv you are right. The corresponding area underneath, it is too narrow to contain and support all that it should.
I know because even the M&S pants designed for men are too narrow. I compared some with a pair of my wife's.
I think they have women designing them and they don't fully understand male anatomy.

Dunno if common - how would anyone know? - but I wear them for comfort. I had to get circumcised as an adult & ever since I need underwear tight enough to hold everything in place; boxers/trunks were no good. Of course I could've bought tight Y-fronts but they're awful. So, being a tiny bit kinky, I opted for women's. Nothing complicated, just regular. Lace is really uncomfortable anyway. What I like is the stretchiness. Don't find the lack of gusset a problem; if anything it improves the airflow! Luckily DW is ok with it.

Ah @Katigee410 I must plead guilty to the odd lacy number back in the day when I was something to look at. Dunno about fetish, that sounds a bit serious! I was just having fun tbh. Life's too short to run on the rails all the time. 🤷🏻‍♂️

It's very difficult to find underwear for men that fits nicely and has a nice look and feel. It's either silly novelty stuff, everyday pants, or fetish gear. A gap in the market????

True. I've stopped looking, really. Bog-standard black women's pants do the biz, if they've got enough elasticity in them to keep everything in place. I do occasionally think about something with a nice pattern, or a fab colour, but I don't want to stretch DW's patience too far!
