Has had 4 Mirena IUDs in total in my life. Previous Mirena inserted in 2023; expelled in March 2026. New Mirena inserted April 2026, cramping is insane, everyday, bleeding randomly. The threads felt shorter after sex one day and a really extreme cramp that lasted hours. The next week I was concerned that Mirena may have become dislodged, I went to A&E - told me need an ulltrasound. The ultrasound tech confirmed yesterday my IUD is in place and I am fine, strings are fine. Today after intercourse again, cramping like mad and now my threads are gone! I've had this brand of IUD since I was 16 never had these issues until I had a child. Anyone else had that? I wonder if its gonna be a nightmare to remove and feel completely messed around by the hospital.
