I'm in a long distance relationship and I've just got off the phone with him, did a video call and he was sitting in a short sleeved T shirt due to the heat. He usually wears long sleeved shirts. I spotted a really odd rash on his left arm, kind of purply blotchy that looked as if someone had put a cigarette out all over it, from around his wrist, on the forearm, up to the elbow and a little above. It also had a yellowish tone to it underneath, if that makes sense.
Due to family issues, we haven't been able to see each other in person since early January. We usually see each other several times a year and there are plans for him to come to me. I asked him about the rash and he said he had had it since January, but it must have been after I came back home, so like the third week. He said he hadn't been to the doctor about it.
I thought that was odd, he has full health insurance, lives in Germany so never a problem to get the right treatment. He said he didn't want me to worry, which is why he never mentioned it. When I asked how and where it had started, he said under his left armpit, like a nodule, and that the nodule had fluid in it, it burst when he scratched it. Then the rash on his arm appeared and the spots also had fluid in them. So what is there now is apparently scars.
He promised to see a doctor, but I don't understand why on earth he hasn't yet if it has been there since late January and especially after a "good friend" said it could be skin cancer!!! I have had an odd gut feeling that he hasn't been faithful, I don't know why, just an inkling. When I've looked for STD skin rashes online, his rash kind of looks like syphillis... Now I'm freaking out. Going to see my GP asap after the Bank Holiday. I've had no symptoms at all, but then we always use condoms.
Has anyone had any experience with this kind of thing? I have a photo but not sure if I'm allowed to post?
