Who tests sex toy prototypes before products go into manufacture?

Is there a job as a sex toy tester?
I don't mean QC. I mean someone designs it, it's approved for manufacture etc but who tests the prototype. i guess some one volunteers do they?
BTW I'm not looking for a job.

I think manufacturers and retailers ask for volunteers. LoveHoney, a popular retailer of sex toys run a scheme where they trial run new products before putting them for sale online.

Similarly, manufacturers test products at the design stage. I presume anyone can sign up.
