I don’t have any problem with the women on only fans or indeed who are prostitutes, it’s the men who use the services I have no respect for. The women are so often forced into the work by men or their cirumstances.

Thinking about countries where things like OnlyFans are illegal, I'd say we accept it because the alternative is living under the sort of regime in which outdated doctrines typically exclude women from education, tollerate discrimination, deprive the population of democratic discourse, and persecute transgressors without transparent legal process.
Freedom always has a price and everyone has a different definition of utopia.

Depends on what we mean by "accepting". I agree with the pp that the existence of it comes with the freedom of choice, I suppose. About accepting it as "just a job" - Not me, personally. I could never be in a relationship with someone who does such work, but I won't go out of my way to look down on those who do, as long as it has nothing to do with me. I wouldn't be able to have a wife who does that, having a daughter doing it would probably eat me up from inside.. But someone acquaintance? It's their life, I don't care. I think it is a very poor choice.. I am a firm believer of self-respect and not selling yourself and your dignity for money. And whatever you do and sell on the internet like this will never be erased. A lot of these of workers learn the hard way, things they never anticipated, or just simple disregarded - That not everyone will be on board, and for a potential partner who they would have a great life with, could easily say no thanks. Or my biggest thing - kids. I think it is so selfish and just dumb to potentially have your kid get bullied because people found their mum's OF work.. Heck, the kid knowing about what the mum does, or even seen it - that's trauma I could never put my kid through.. I think it is a very idiotic way to make a living, and anyone supporting that industry should - for a lack of a better word - get a life.

I think grifting is becoming a career choice, the kids call them "begs" on tik tok. Doesn't even need to go as far as OF or similar platforms

Wanting money for interactions, phrases like "cover my coffee" or "pay for my nails". Asking for people to "gift" items.

Doesn't even need to be overly sexual, see more and more now just hinting at things to get attention.

Fact is there is a market for it, there are a large number of people willing to part with their cash. Danger is for those who can't really afford it or who are open to exploitation

On the flip side, the man who died this week who founded OF, what a great business plan he had. took 20% of pretty much all the transactions on there, he built the platform then the "creators" did all the work for him, and made him very rich in the process
