Do you miss your libido?

Prior to menopause, my ex couldn't keep up with me sexually. Tried to imply there was something wrong with my drive and my wildness.

Since menopause my libido is minimal and I have no interest in sex with a partner anymore.

So my question is, if you lost your libido at menopause, do you miss it?

Hmmmmm good question.
Definitely lost it a good bit but not my interest.

Yes 😢

While life is certainly more 'peaceful' without it, I would love to feel the physical response/ hormone rush I used to get being around someone I really fancied. I miss that 'gagging for it' feeling, all the anticipation, not to mention earth shattering orgasms 😢

The odd thing is, I don't miss it really. I don't desire the attention of a bloke. And I really don't miss the feeling of being controlled by my sex drive. But life feels a little... flat without it.

I don't want it back. But some other type of excitement in my life in replacement of it would be good.

Have you considered BASE jumping or knife throwing?

I don’t really miss it as such probably because we’re still affectionate in other ways. We’ve been married 39 years and I think in that time your relationship changes by that I mean you’re still close but sex becomes less important. That’s not to say we don’t still have sex but it’s not the be all and end all and it’s very only occasionally now.

My dh and I had a great sex life for decades.I got to 55and it vanished.
Some of that is his mood swings some of it is hormones.
I get more freedom now but miss the anticipation and obviously orgasms as mastabation is so much fun either.

Yes, very much because I'm in a relationship that is happy but I feel would be enhanced by more sex. I'm sure my DP would be willing, but I just can't be bothered and really miss the urge that I used to feel a few years ago when we got together. I do make the effort but it just isn't the same.

If I wasn't in a relationship though I don't think I'd miss it particularly.
