Missed pill

So my husband and I had intercourse on Tuesday night and then on the Sunday after I missed my mini pill. Could I still fall pregnant ?

A few factors to consider:

1. How many hours late did you realise and take the missed pill?
2. How old are you? (I’d be less worried at 49 than 29, for example.)

I recall reading somewhere that sperm can live for 6 days. My dr has always recommended using backup protection for 7 days when starting up on the pill after a break from it. So technically, you could still get pregnant, but it would really depend on your age/fertility and how many hours your pill was late.

Thanks for your reply, am 45 and on hrt for perimenopause periods are very light and irregular at the moment. I didn't remember til the next day so took two at the same time.

As a perimenopausal woman myself. I wouldn’t be too worried about becoming pregnant from 5 day-old sperm and one missed pill. Chances would be really slim.
