For the last few years I’ve been really struggling with sexual intercourse, it’s becoming a problem for me and my partner.
i don’t have any desire to have sex at all, incase it makes me cringe the thought of it, I love my husband but I just don’t know what’s wrong. We can go months without it. Obviously he brings it up as he struggles but I don’t know what todo.
ive spoke to the GP in the past and they don’t seem concerned. I try and push myself and have tried different things but I just have 0 sex drive.
for reference I’m 27.

Did the GP send you for blood tests? Have you had any thoughts about seeing a psycho sexual therapist?

I just wanted to say - I am so so sorry you’re experiencing this. I think you do need to seek help. If you were 67 I’d think you’d benefit from help, but you’re so young. Please find someone to talk to (therapist, GP) Good luck!!

Do you both sleep in the same bed naked ?
If so do cuddle each other and stroke each other whilst naked ?
Do you mastrubate? But just not want intercourse?

At 27, i’d bet good money on the problem being you no longer fancy him and have friend zoned him.

MysticalChipmunk · 12/04/2026 03:29

Same happened to me. It was because I wasn’t attracted to my husband and sex with him was dull. Another man woke me up! Sometimes sex drive tanks if you’re with someone you’re not attracted to.

If not this, help needed from somewhere.

Are you on the pill OP?

Sorry just saw this is a thread from the start of March that someone decided to reanimate to tell you to get therapy 🙄
