Zero libido

Looking for some advice, apologies if this isn’t the right section.
I went on the pill (Dretine) to mitigate my PMS symptoms after giving birth as my anxiety was through the roof. I’ve suffered from hormone-related mood swings and anxiety from as long as I remember, the pill turned out to be a godsend and I feel so much more stable now, no longer at the mercy of what week of the month it is.
However my libido has completely disappeared - I have no interest whatsoever in having sex, not just with my other half, with anybody.
The obvious answer is to discontinue the pill, but I’m so worried about going back to where I was before I started it.
Does anyone have any experience of another type of pill that manages PMS symptoms without killing my libido?
I spoke to my GP a few times but their suggestion was just to stop taking the pill and see how things go. The thought of doing this terrifies me.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

The contraceptive pill and anti-depressants both absolutely tanked my libido for years OP. (I actually think that's how the pill 'works' - you just don't want sex so can't get pregnant because you're not doing it 😁)

But I read something yesterday which was quite interesting and that was most people who have a lack of libido whether male or female are iodine deficient.

Apparently it helps hugely with lack of libido in both sexes and also erectile dysfunction and testosterone levels.

I have some lugols iodine 15% from amazon so apparently a few drops of that on your skin or in water will do the trick. Might be worth a try.

Other than that I had a copper coil. No hormones (I had PMDD so I understand how shitty the hormones are, sending you a hug)

sure if it was the case that lack of libido was caused by iodine deficiency then this would be well known about and and instant cure and doctors would prescribe supplements for it? Surely theres mostly likely other things going on alongside the iodine deficiency.
If its just the case of me needing extra iodine im off the Holland&Barrett!

Google it and loads of links come up showing just that.

We are all chronically iodine deficient in the UK. And you're probably better off with a bottle of 12 or 15% iodine drops which will last you forever. Plus is really cheap.

this info

The above is more about men's libido and iodine but it applies to women too. I think they sell products too but good info nonetheless.

Lots about it on reddit too. It boosts testosterone.
