Does anyone else have this?
I know it's a very common virus and apparently 80% / 90% of people have it at some point.
What have your experiences been with it?

They test for it when you have a smear test? Thankfully I’ve always tested negative. I have to say it’s one of the STI that scares me (along with HSV) as condoms don’t fully protect against it and there is no cure. I’m in a monogamous relationship so hopefully those days are behind me now. My eldest has been vaccinated for it which I think is a good thing, especially as it can cause cancer

I tested positive on every smear i've had for HPV but have never noticed any negative effects and only knew through regular smear testing. I assume everyone will have a different experience.
I did have abnormal cells after 1 test and had to go to hospital and they did a procedure to remove them, that was very uncomfortable and slightly painful. But since that, further tests have not shown any more abnornal cells, so that's good.
