How often do you have sex as a married couple.

I'm 37 year old female husband is 40 .
We have 3 children youngest is 15 months and breastfeed.
My husband is constantly moaning we don't do it enough, but I'm constantly exhausted.

When ours were little we were lucky to manage once a month. But now they are mid to late teens we are rediscovering each other. We found putting date night in the calendar worked for us.

When our kids were young like yours—3 or 4x per year.

Now that they’re teens, 1-2x per week.

When our kids were babies/very young it was probably about once a month. Now they're older and sleep through the night it's 2 or 3 times a week.

When youngest was 15 months and breastfeeding- never. He’s getting more than my OH was at that stage 😂

When my children were young, probably twice a month, now they’re teenagers, 2-3 times per week. I had very little interest when my kids were small. I was knackered.

We probably did ok when they were young, once a week I'm sure but the days were blurry, maybe it was once a year 😄
Average 2 a week now I would say, 3 on a good week

Been together 7 years, married 18 months, DS is 2 and we're pretty much daily if not more than once a day.

Raising children is exhausting but you have to make time to be with each other. You deserve it. When we were middle aged it would have been 2/3 times a week

When we had babies/young toddlers maybe once a month, if that. Now that our youngest is 3 we're starting to get back to "normal" a bit more so maybe twice a week? I expect it'll increase as we get more headspace and energy as they get older.

Sex twice a week and usually throw in a Bj session if he's been good

We’ve got 3 DC: 1, 3 + 5.

We have phases, sometimes it’s 4/5 times a week then nothing for 2 weeks. Once we start it becomes addictive, but it’s really nice to have times when you can just sleep.

@Sweetandnice Is your question about how often do married couples have sex or married couples in functional relationships?
My (thankfully now ended) marriage fell into the latter category, but I dont think "not once in 8yrs and increasingly rarely in the 5 or 6yrs before that" is the answer you're looking for.

When the kids were young, maybe every 2-3wks or so. I’d have happily gone without completely. Especially when BF as I had to wear a bra 24-7 so sex with a bra on just didn’t have the same appeal.
