And it makes me so sad! I’m desperate to do it again but also lost my confidence and self esteem regarding my body is at an all time low.

I used to have a high sex drive and feel quite frustrated

Only around age 40 and H and I are recently separated.

Not sure why I’m posting really, just a moan I think and hope that I will one day meet someone…can’t face online dating yet at all!
Have feelings for someone but nothing will happen there. Feeling sad…!

It had 'only' been 3 1/2 years for me and I was ten years older than you. But I've had plenty of sex since then and look forward to more.

As a woman, it's pretty easy to have sex. OLD is a bit of a cesspit but can be entertaining. You will definitely be able to have sex again if you want to, and your body is great btw 😊 Give yourself some breathing space after the separation, good luck and have fun x

i was in a similar position. Years of celibacy and rock bottom confidence, When I separated I found a male
friend going through the same, and we talked and shared our separation stories. Both of us were nervous about getting naked again, so we did that together. The first time was awkward and we were nervous but once into it it was really good. Since then, I’ve been much more active again as my confidence grew. Yours will too

It was around 16 years for me, until last weekend. Took me all year to find the right person online and it was great. I was fortunate that he knew what he was doing. I am now struggling to navigate the world of casual sex and modern relationships. 🫤

I felt like a big of a freak for a while and dreaded questions from dates about how long i had been single but honestly a period of celibacy has been good for me and has helped me work out what I want, better boundaries and the strength to walk away from people or situations that aren't right.

I genuinely feared I would never have sex again at times but I took my time building my confidence and once I decided I was going to pursue an active sex life again opportunities opened up.
